Unfortunately, your Motorola Moto Z Play doesn’t have Qi Wireless Charging integrated. However, you can use a Wireless Charging Adapter for your device to make it Qi compatible, or view the list of all Qi enabled phones.
How to Add Wireless Charging on Motorola Moto Z Play
Seems like there is currently no original accessories for the Moto Z Play to upgrade with Wireless Charging. If your smartphone is not designed for Wireless Charging via the Qi standard, there are basically two ways you can add Wireless Charging anyway:
- Wireless Charging Case by third-party manufacturer (Designed for Moto Z Play)
- Wireless Charging Receiver (Universal)
A Wireless Charging Case must be designed for the Motorola Moto Z Play to fit the shape. An alternative is the universal Wireless Charging receiver, which is connected to the smartphone via USB Type-C. They can just be combined with a conventional case, bumper, or sleeve.
Moto Mod: Moto Style Shell with Wireless Charging
Actually there was also original Accessories from Motorola for the Moto Z family available on market – the Moto Style Shell. Unfortunately this accessory is apparently no longer available, as customers complain about the missing Wireless Charging function on the very similar looking Moto Mod Style Shell currently offered on amazon – however, an alternative with Wireless Charging and even with an additional battery can be found here:
